My Approach

There is no single formula for good therapy, and our work will be shaped by what you bring into the room. Still, there are a few principles that guide the way I work.

Reflective Relational Whole-Person Grounded
Understanding Yourself More Deeply

Meaningful change begins with understanding.

Many of the patterns that keep us stuck operate outside of our awareness. Together, we'll slow things down and make sense of your inner world, including your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and the experiences that have shaped them.

As we better understand your emotional landscape, we can become more curious about what your emotions may be communicating, where certain responses come from, and how they influence the way you relate to yourself and others.

We'll also explore patterns that may be contributing to your current struggles, not to assign blame, but to better understand them. Greater awareness can create more room to respond differently rather than simply repeating what has become familiar.

Practical Tools for Change

Insight can help us understand why something is happening, but understanding alone does not always make it easier to respond differently.

Alongside our reflective work, we may explore practical strategies that help you navigate difficult emotions, relationships, decisions, or patterns in everyday life. Depending on what you need, this might include developing new ways of responding to emotions, communicating more effectively, setting boundaries, or experimenting with different behaviors.

The goal is not to give you a formula for how to live, but to help translate what we discover in therapy into changes that feel realistic and meaningful in your life.

The Therapeutic Relationship

I believe therapy is not only about talking through problems, but also about experiencing a relationship built on trust, honesty, warmth, and mutual respect.

As a relational therapist, I pay attention to patterns, emotions, and ways of relating that may emerge naturally within our work together. At times, I may offer observations or feedback that can help us notice something that has been difficult to see from the inside.

My hope is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, curious, and fully yourself. The relationship we build can become another place to better understand yourself and explore new ways of relating to others.
